description: "iSCSI, or Internet Small Computer System Interface, is a protocol that sets up a shared storage so multiple servers can access the same drives over a TCP/IP…"
url: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REg2i0iT8_0"Enables multiple servers and users access network drives remotely over TCP/IP by setting up a shared storage network
Components
- Initiator - hardware or software that sends data
- target - the server that hosts the storage resources
The initiator will send/receive data over tcp/ip to the target, The OS recognize as if the drive is locally connected
